What is it about gums that are so appealing?

2. Have your teeth cleaned on a regular basis.

Tartar may only be removed by a professional cleaning. It can help remove any plaque that you may have missed when brushing or flossing. 3. Give up smoking

4. Brush your teeth twice a day

Brushes or toothbrush heads should be replaced every three to four months, or sooner if the bristles begin to fray.

5. Fluoride toothpaste should be used.
When it comes to toothpaste, there are a number of options that claim to alleviate gingivitis, freshen breath, and whiten teeth. How can you know which is the best for keeping your gums healthy? Make sure to purchase FLUORIDE-containing toothpaste. After that, it’s up to you to decide on the flavor and color.
6. Use a mouthwash with medicinal properties.
Therapeutic mouthwashes, which are usually available over the counter, can help decrease plaque, prevent or minimize gingivitis, slow the formation of tartar, or a combination of these advantages, according to the American Dental Association. However, it isn’t a replacement for flossing or brushing.
